The anatomy of a session

  1. Orientation. A moment of arrival. You're told exactly what will happen and that you're in control throughout.
  2. Settling in. Slow breath, body awareness, progressive relaxation, the nervous system downshifts.
  3. Deepening. Counting, descent imagery, gentle fractionation. The analytical mind loosens its grip.
  4. Your world. The scene you chose, golden-hour ocean, night city, candlelit room, rendered with your details.
  5. Suggestion. Direct and indirect suggestions aimed precisely at your goal and the obstacle you named.
  6. Identity rehearsal. You don't watch the future, you're in it, acting as the person who already has it.
  7. Future pacing. Rehearsing specific upcoming moments so the new pattern fires in real life, on cue.
  8. Your ending. Gently awake and energized, softly relaxed, or a slow fade into sleep.
